Check out what Parkeon is doing around the globe
All around the world, Parkeon is implementing and upgrading systems for many reasons – to help clients increase revenue, to minimize operations costs, and to provide better convenience for motorists. Below are examples of some recent Parkeon implementations:
Parkeon is excited to have expanded its reach into the country of Bahrain. There are now 36 Strada terminals in the capital city of Manama.
Parkeon replaced over 400 Hectronic machines in the coastal city of Knokke-Le Zoute. The Strada machines are solar powered, equipped with the new seaside kit, and wirelessly connected to myParkfolio. In the City of Tienen, Parkeon has replaced 50 Hetronic machines with Stradas.
The German organization for security of safes, VdS, has certified the Strada Transfer with the highest possible security level: VdS P4. Parkeon is the only company with this security level. More than 400 Parkeon terminals have already been sold with the appropriate kit to ensure this high level of security.
Contactless credit cards are more and more accepted in France. After a successful pilot in Strasbourg, more than 2,800 Parkeon terminals have retrofitted to accept contactless credit cards in addition to chip and pin contact credit card, in the cities of Strasbourg, Lyon and Marseille.
The cities of Campobasso, Pompei, Pomigliano d’Arco, Catanzaro, for a total of some 200 terminals, decided to confirm their trust in Parkeon mainly thanks to the availability of the cloud services linked to fine payment, pay by plate (or space), transport ticket issuing and other options that lead to a real integrated mobility solution.
Additionally, both Milan and Bologna have renewed their confidence in Parkeon services confirming contracts to directly service more than 1,300 terminals. These are areas where cloud services are becoming more and more used (e.g. Transport contactless card recharge, congestion charge payments, etc.)
CityBus, the leading public transport operator in Kuwait, has completed the roll-out of an innovative smart card scheme in partnership with Parkeon. At the heart of the smart transition is Parkeon’s Wayfarer150 ticketing platform, which has been upgraded across the fleet of around 400 buses to meet the requirements of the new system.
Mexico City will soon have close to 1,500 Strada Rapide terminals, as 200 Strada were recently installed, adding to the 1,100 existing terminals. An order for 200 more Stradas has been received. Soon many of the Stradas in Mexico City will accept a local on-line prepaid card.
The City of Warszawa recently installed 200 Pay by Plate Stradas with contactless payments including the City smart card. The project also included an integration with the City’s back-office system.
Parkeon has deployed over 100 Stradas with contactless PayPass payments developed by MasterCard in the City of Lausanne. Lausanne is the first Swiss City to deploy such a terminal.
The City of Nieuwegein has awarded Parkeon a contract for 65 Stradas, replacing the current parking equipment supplied by Baumann.
Parkeon has recently been awarded a contract from Newport Transport, a bus operator in Wales, to provide a fully integrated smart ticketing and Real Time Information systems. Newport Transport is the first bus operator in the country to take direct control of its Real Time Information systems. The system is delivered because of a strategic alliance between Parkeon and information specialists Cloud Amber.
In December, Parkeon completed an installation of 140 Strada Rapides in Memphis, Tennessee, home to Rock and Roll legend Elvis Presley. In addition to the Strada, Parkeon installed 400 IPS Group single space meters all integrated into Parkeon’s myParkfolio back-office system.
