University of San Diego Expands Paid Parking, Adds Additional Services with Parkeon
Moorestown, NJ – September 14, 2015 – Parkeon, a global leader in parking, transit, and urban mobility solutions, has announced the completion of a new project at the University of San Diego. With a goal of expanding paid parking for non-permit holders and making parking payment a convenient experience, the University turned to Parkeon for help.
In August, Parkeon implemented ten new Strada Pay Stations, all featuring full color display screens, adding to the Strada Pay Stations already on campus. Not only does the full color display make each parking transaction more user friendly, it allows the University to benefit from the Parkeon Smart Center and display their school news and events on the pay stations in real-time. Smart Services for Smart Universities and Cities make a difference and are directly beneficial in promoting school spirit and a community atmosphere.
All of the Strada Pay Stations accept coins and credit cards. To add to the convenience, all of USD’s paid parking areas offer Parkeon’s Whoosh! mobile parking application allowing students and visitors to pay for their parking with their cell phone or tablet. Users of Whoosh! can also extend their parking time remotely from anywhere.
